My Interests
Church and Civic Soloist
I am available as a flute player for Special Music in most church settings. I have a repertoire of fresh arrangements of standard Christian hymns which can be played with your pianist or against my recorded backing tracks. I can also play your choice of intermediate selections or participate in your church cantata or school orchestra pit. I do not currently have a collaborative pianist, but I could certainly work with yours for a wedding.
Composition & Arrangement
As a recent graduate from Meredith College, I composed/arranged for solo flute, flute/piano, alto flute/piano, flute, trio, instrumental trio, handbells, Soprano/piano, SATB/piano and flute choir. My works include hymns, lullabies, Christmas music, an original lament and an original praise song. My post-graduate arrangements focus on jazz for flute.
High Flute'n Lady Performances
I am available as flute player for 45 min to 3 hour performances in civic spaces: retirement facilities, farmer's market, airports or any place that needs some beautiful background music. I have a broad repertoire of pop, classical, Celtic, jazz, hymns, and originals which I play solo against my recorded backing tracks.
Lady Cornewall
I am a keen fan of Tudor English history and have developed several characters as a Renaissance Re-enactor. My favorite character is Lady Cornewall; as a "cousin" to Sir Walter Raleigh, she can tell you in detail why he was innocent of the charge of treason, all about the 6 Henrician Queens, and why Mary Queen of Scots did NOT help blow up her husband . . . etc etc. I currently serve on the cast as a Noble for the Carolina Renaissance Festival outside of Charlotte, NC each fall.

I have a broad interest in styles from Traditional to Jazz. I have composed many pieces for flute as well as voice, chamber music and hand-bells.
